Van der Steen operates at the intersection of fashion and architecture.
Trained in the ateliers of Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Bruce Oldfield, she developed a foundation in couture at the highest level, contributing to collections presented in Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week.
Her work has appeared on the runway worn by figures such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
She stepped away from the system.
